Network Security Enhancement
We transitioned the existing camera system at the Conrad by Hilton Washington DC to Genetec Security Center, strengthening the network security and securing all camera access points left vulnerable by previous installations
Advanced Surveillance Coverage
Our team replaced outdated Sony 1MP cameras with AXIS P3267-LV 5MP Domes and installed an AXIS P3738-PLE 360-degree camera to cover blind spots in public meeting areas, ensuring complete visual coverage throughout the property.
Entryway Security Upgrades
New AXIS P3267-LVE cameras were installed at the employee entrance, enhancing perimeter security and providing advanced AI-powered monitoring for high-traffic areas.
Smart Monitoring & Investigation Tools
We upgraded a total of 23 cameras to AI-powered AXIS cameras with object detection and classification. In addition, we improved operational efficiency with a new client PC and 4K-capable monitors in the security office, while converting the previous PC into a dedicated investigator station.
Project Overview
At the Conrad by Hilton Washington DC, we undertook a comprehensive security overhaul by transitioning the entire camera system to Genetec Security Center. This move provided a more secure and reliable environment, addressing vulnerabilities left behind by the previous installer. Our team ensured that every camera on the network was properly secured, eliminating default settings that posed significant security risks. The new system now provides robust protection for hotel guests and staff, reinforcing a culture of safety and professionalism throughout the property.
To enhance surveillance coverage, we replaced older Sony 1 Megapixel cameras with advanced AXIS P3267-LV 5 Megapixel domes. These high-definition cameras offer superior image clarity and advanced analytics, significantly improving the overall security posture of the property. We also identified a critical blind spot in the public meeting spaces and addressed it by installing a state-of-the-art AXIS P3738-PLE 360-degree multi-image camera. This powerful addition ensures no area is left unmonitored, providing complete situational awareness for security staff and management.
Recognizing the importance of secure access points, we installed new AXIS P3267-LVE cameras at the employee entrance. These advanced cameras combine AI-powered monitoring capabilities with rugged outdoor protection, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees and visitors alike. With these upgrades, the hotel can proactively monitor entry and exit points, effectively reducing unauthorized access and potential security incidents. The new system seamlessly integrates with Genetec Security Center, providing operators with a unified and intuitive interface for management.
Finally, we modernized the technology in the security office to support these upgrades. We replaced 23 older cameras with AI-powered AXIS models capable of object detection and classification, delivering enhanced situational awareness. To optimize operations, we installed a high-performance client PC and two new 4K-capable monitors, providing clearer, more reliable footage for real-time monitoring. The original PC was repurposed to create an investigator station, giving the security team more resources for post-incident reviews and analysis.
